**Granola Recipe at the end!
I have to say that Joe & I have gone to several Farmer’s Markets in Baton Rouge and the surrounding area, but I don’t think I have ever been to one as well designed (or with as many unique vendors) as the Central Square Farmer’s Market!
What was great about the event on Saturday was the people! The vendors, the customers, Acadiana Development and all of the families who were just walking around and enjoying the beautiful day!
Joe and I were really surprised by how many people showed up and how well our booth did! He was worried that I wouldn’t sell anything so he told his Mom and Dad that they needed to come by so I wouldn’t have my feelings hurt too much, but…
I sold out! ![]()
Much to both Joe & I’s surprise!
We had 10 bags of GF cranberry almond granola, 12 bags of regular PB & Chia granola, 12 bags of White Chocolate Apricot-Walnut Cookies, 45 Power Bites and 12 Orange-Spice Banana Muffins along with samples so people could taste which ones they liked best before buying.
Needless to say, I’m going to make more for next week! We hope to see you there again this Saturday & hope the weather is as beautiful as it was last week!
GF Cranberry-Almond Granola
-
4 Tbsp. Almond Butter
-
4 Tbsp. Honey
-
1 Tbsp. Vanilla Extract
-
2 cups GF oats
-
1/2 cup dried cranberries
Preheat oven to 350. Spray cookie sheet with nonstick oil. Mix all ingredients together until evenly combined. Pour onto cookie sheet and bake 8-10 minutes. Remove from oven, toss around, and bake for 2-3 minutes more until slightly brown. Remove from oven and allow to cool about 10 minutes. It gets crispier as it cools! Store in airtight container for up to 1 week!
Thanks again everyone, it really made my day to see you at the Farmer’s Market!
